One of the most highly anticipated Chainsaw Man anime series is coming soon.
Chainsaw Man is based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, in which Devils are brought into existence based on the collective fears of humankind.
The highly anticipated anime series finally has a release date, with episode one arriving on October 11.
Announced on its official Twitter account, the release date came alongside a new trailer for the series (below) and confirmation that it would run for 12 episodes in total. The first episode will also be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
Chainsaw Man – a beloved manga series about a teenage devil hunter who’s brought back from the dead with chainsaws for hands – is one of the most anticipated anime adaptations of this year. Its page on the online manga and anime database My Anime List already has more than 500,000 members and its release date announcement tweet hit 100,000 likes in just 26 minutes.
Details on the anime’s opening and closing themes were also released, with Kenshi Yonezu performing the opener and the credits featuring a different soundtrack in each episode, played by artists including Maximum the Hormone, Ano, People 1, and more.
As evidenced in this new and previous trailer, Chainsaw Man is as violent and gory as any anime about a chainsaw man could be.
Crunchyroll’s chief content officer Asa Suehira said previously that it features “dark humour, dynamic characters and a sharp story,” and that “anime fans will be up all night thinking about the spectacular visuals and high-octane action.”
