Eilish wore designer Alessandro Michele’s tiered, ruffled, off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic train. The romantic dress felt reminiscent of the more retro-glam Oscar de la Renta silhouette she wore to the 2021 Met Gala. Finneas, meanwhile, opted for a classic black suit, paired with a white button-up, bow-tie, and black heeled oxfords for a youthful finish.
At past awards shows, the two siblings have embraced a bolder aesthetic. At the 2021 Grammys, for instance, they both wore Gucci again—Finneas in a pink tuxedo, Eilish in a graphic outfit that was printed from head to toe (even her bucket hat!). Their slightly more grown-up and sophisticated fashion moment tonight proved to be a refreshing switch-up from their brazen signatures, and felt appropriate given the formal feel of the event. But as performers tonight, something tells us they may have more statement-making ensembles up their sleeve.
